Touncy Rynn Hart, 63, of Ennis, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, surrounded by
his loving family.
Touncy was born on December 30, 1962, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Leon Hart, who preceded
him in death in 1976, and Carolyn Diane Hart. His beloved grandmothers Annie Mae Herford
and Emma Hart proceeded him in death as well. His mother showed such love, patience, and
strength as he endured his critical illness. The depth of her love for him was incredible, not just
the sacrifices, but the patience and grace given because he was her child. His siblings extended
their love and support to help their brother in need.
From an early age, Touncy dreamed of becoming a police officer. Through determination,
dedication, and a heart for service, he achieved that lifelong goal and proudly served his
community with honor and compassion for 34 years. During his distinguished career in law
enforcement, he served with the Ennis Police Department, Waco Police Department, Hillsboro
Police Department, and retired in 2021 from the Malakoff Police Department. Touncy wore his
uniform with pride and earned the respect of both his fellow officers and the many people whose
lives he touched throughout his years of service. He embodies the true meaning of protection
and service. He took his role seriously while always showing compassion and kindness to those
he encountered, both in and out of uniform.
Touncy was a proud graduate of the Ennis High School Class of 1981, where he enjoyed
playing sports and building lifelong friendships. He graduated from Hills College in Hillsboro,
Texas with an associate degree that would further advance him in completing the police
academy and become a police officer. He enjoyed watching sports on T.V. and sharing his
insights to anyone who would listen. While he loved many things throughout his life, nothing
brought him greater joy than his children and grandchildren. His love for his family was
unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his loving mother, Carolyn Diane Hart; his sons, Blake
Hart, and Alec Dlabaj-Hart; and his daughter, McConahei Hart. He also leaves behind two
beloved grandchildren, Lydia Dlabaj-Hart and Callahan Dlabaj-Hart, who brought immense joy
to his life. Touncy was in union with Paralee Banks, and from that they welcomed their son,
Blake Hart and inherited a stepdaughter, Nicki Banks.
Touncy is also survived by his siblings, Kay Hart (Gant) Sheila Hart, Torunda Hart, Tammy Hart,
Ronze Hart and LaDonna Hudson. He leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, extended
family members (cousins) and dear friends who loved him immensely who will forever cherish
the gift of shared memories.
Touncy had a special relationship with each of his nieces and nephews. They are Jeremy Gant,
Quincy Hart (Amber), Neil Peterson (Leann), Ashley Peterson, Brittany Morris, Colby Wilson,
Hart McGrath and Olivia and Noah Hart. His love was extended to his great nieces and
nephews whom he loved dearly. They include Mackenzie and Mason Hart, Ashton and Aiden
Peterson, Madison Peterson and Bailey, Cayden, and Carson Morris.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Touncy Rynn Hart will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the
Eastside Church of Christ in Ennis, Texas. Pastor Sam Bailey, minister of Cedar Valley Church
of Christ will be officiating his service. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the Ennis

place. Repass is welcomed by all at the Eastside Church of Christ Fellowship Hall to share
