Talya Marie Alexander

 Talya’s Story

Hello, thank you for coming today to support my family and friends.  My name is Talya Marie Alexander.  I was the second born of Justin and Bonita Alexander.  They decided to name me Talya because it means “Heavenly Dew!”

Before I was born, the doctor told mom and dad that it was a good chance threw old be complications, but they decided to continue with the pregnancy.  Well, sure enough the doctors had to work hard because I was two months premature.  But my dad, mom and big brother, Kristoper were happy that I finally came home after 60 days in hospital. 

I began to grow and after about twelve months, it became a reality that there was something wrong.  Although I looked healthy and was able to suck my bottle and eat, I never spoke any words or was able to walk.  Nevertheless, mom, dad, Kris, family and friends treated me very well and I had a great life. 

To my first teacher Ms. Jan, and all the others including my High school teacher, Ms. Brown, you treated me so nice and I marched with the class of 2018- Roosevelt Mustangs. 

 I personally want to thank all the doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital that helped mom and dad take such good care of me. 

To all my family and friends, please try not to be too sad today because I’m surrounded by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, Great-grandparents, all the saints and our Lord Savior Jesus Christ along with God the Father, so I’m doing quite well.
