Samuel D. Jones

Samuel Jones Jr., 66, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Dallas, Texas 

Born on January 24, 1959, in Corsicana, Texas, he was the son of the late Samuel Jones Sr., and Maxine McAdams (Smith). 
The oldest of six children, his early years in Corsicana shaped a life marked by resilience and dedication. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots and family.
A proud and lifelong supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Samuel’s enthusiasm for the team was well known among those who knew him. Whether watching games with friends or sharing spirited conversations about the team's prospects, his loyalty never wavered.

In addition to his fiancé Daneyela Ausborn and mother, he is survived by his children, Shondra Jones, Amanda and Rapheal Watts, Jor-dan Jones, Samiya Jones. Sisters LouElla Jones Lewis, Pamela McAdams, Brothers Sonny (Marie) Jones, Don Bailey, Leon (Tammie) Perry Jr., eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and stepdaughters La’Coryea Thomas, Arianna Ausborn, and Naomie Jones, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

In addition to his father, he preceded in death by his niece Tamara Evans, nephew Tarquin Lewis, great granddaughter CaiLah Snell, and stepfather Windell Smith.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him, visitation will be Thursday July 24, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Serenity Community Funeral Home: 321 West 6th Avenue, Corsicana, Texas.
 Funeral Service will be July 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lifeline Fellowship Family Church 5301 State Hwy 31 West, Corsicana, Texas where Ricky Walter serves as pastor. With Minister Wykoff McAdams officiating and Pastor Paul Lewis of Greater Love Outreach Fellowship Church will bring the eulogy. 

Repass will follow immediately after the services at Samuel's home church, the Pilgrim Rest P.B. Church; 1009 South 4th Street, Corsicana, Texas. Reverend Gary Moore serves as pastor.
